A couple of weeks ago, I sat in disbelief as I watched news coverage of the devastation in Alabama. Over 300 dead? Why God? Why would you do this? The news of Haiti and Japan was hard to swallow, but for me, it was even harder to grasp that God generated storms of such strength to destroy a portion of the world that I hold so close to my heart. It just hurts more when it hits so close to home.
